What does it mean 2 lie?

No respect for the person you are conversing with or yourself

Selfishness (U want Ur own way)

 It means you cannot be trusted

You are nt willing to be honest in the situation

That you are willing to hurt someone 2 get what you want.

 What is truth?

• The real
• Tha low down
• An accurate order of the events, what was stated, when it was stated and how it was stated or portrayed
• being point

How Do U Determine Your Standard (your basis) for truth?

Some time ago, a music artist, was arrested on several charges due to the fact that his bodyguard

came into a firearms store and attempted to purchase guns for protection on behalf of his client.

His client, is a felon and by law is not allowed to hold a gun...not even for a minute.

The bodyguard declared to the firearms store owner , that he was not a convicted felon and signed

for the purchase.  But it was with his clien'ts money, a convicted felon, to protect him and his peeps.

Waz the bodyguard being honest with the storeowner?

Waz he telling the whole truth?

Waz he lying, by not telling the whole truth?

Genesis Chapter 2

Abraham & his beautiful wife, Sarah went on a journey.  They got to a particular kingdom to hang out and chill for a minute and the guards of the KIng of that country went back and told the King, "Man,

you gotta see this girl, Sarah...she is a dime...." 

Abraham knew that men found Sarah to be very attractive, afterall, he was a man himself....and he  had made her his wifey!  After the buzz went around, Sarah , along with Abraham was invited to come before the King.  

Abe freaked....he told Sarah, tell everyone you are my sister, so they will not kill me to get you.  Sarah agreed and Abe himself went around introducing himself as her brother..  When King caught a look at Sarah....he just knew he had to have her and brought her into the palace. 

 Then God Himself, pimp slapped the KIng and the King went straight to Abe and said...."Are you crazy, fool ....this is your wifey! "  You got God at me like I stole somethin'  ...you know you ain't right."  Sarah was returned to Abraham, just as God had intended.

Waz  Abraham and Sarah telling the truth?

Were the lying by not telling the whole truth( They passed themselves off as family, which was true, but how they were family was not true.

God checked them all because this wasn't

real talk 

By only telling part of the truth....are you telling a lie?

Do you mislead people, by not telling them the whole truth, just as it happened, when it happened?

The Bible says that when you mislead, you are being dishonest and lying............

Ask God, through prayer, to make you more sensitive to when you are being deceitful.  To give you a desire to tell the truth, in love.....To live more real with yourself and those around you.  'Cause the only One you can't run play on....is God.
